How to Use Your New Garden N Me Kit!

1. Get Ready:

First, make sure your work area is clean. Lay out your plant pot, small trowel, and the packet of herb seeds. Ask an adult for help if you need it.

2. Fill the Pot:

Carefully fill your plant pot with soil. Leave about an inch of space at the top so there’s room for the seeds.

3. Make Tiny Holes:

Using your small trowel (or your finger if you prefer), make small holes in the soil. The holes should be about as deep as the size of the seed.

4. Plant the Seeds:

Gently drop a few seeds into each hole. Don’t worry if it looks a little messy—this is all part of the fun!

5. Cover Up:

Carefully cover the seeds with a little bit of soil. Be gentle so the seeds don’t fall out.

6. Water Them:

Now it’s time to give your seeds a drink! Use a small watering can or cup to water the soil gently. Make sure the soil is moist but not soaking wet.

7. Find a Sunny Spot:

Place your pot in a sunny area where the plants can get plenty of light. Herbs love sunlight, so a windowsill or a spot in your garden is perfect.

8. Keep Caring:

Every day, check your pot. If the soil looks dry, water it a little. Remember not to overwater—just enough to keep it damp.

9. Watch Them Grow:

With a bit of patience and care, you’ll soon see tiny green shoots sprouting up! Keep caring for them by giving them sunlight and water, and soon you’ll have fresh herbs ready to use.

10. Enjoy Your Herbs:

When your herbs have grown big enough, you can carefully snip some leaves to add flavor to your meals, or just enjoy watching them grow.
